The TNA World Championship will be on the line at the AMC premiere of TNA IMPACT on January 15, 2026 from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.

TNA Wrestling taped episodes of IMPACT through to January 8 in El Paso, Texas on December 6 and December 7. The tapings opened with a King's Speech from TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian following his successful title defence against JDC at Final Resolution, but Kazarian was quickly interrupted by Mike Santana. After a back and forth, Santana challenged Kazarian to a TNA World Title match at Genesis.

The match won't be taking place on pay-per-view, however, as following Kazarian's win over Bear Bronson to retain the TNA World Championship at Sunday's tapings, Kaz was interrupted by Santana once again and the former TNA World Champion announced their title match would instead be taking place on January 15 during the AMC premiere of TNA IMPACT.

Sunday's tapings later featured a contract signing between Kazarian and Santana, during which TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced the title would still be defended at Genesis. This prompted an interruption from Nic Nemeth, who declared that he would call his shot after the match on the AMC premiere.

It was recently announced that TNA IMPACT would be moving from AXS TV to AMC in the United States from January 15, 2026. The weekly series will also continue to be available on TNA+.
