Further details on potential WWE plans for the planned September 20 pay-per-view have been revealed.

It emerged in recent weeks that WWE were planning to run an as-yet-unannounced pay-per-view/premium live event on Saturday, September 20 in Indianapolis, Indiana with a main event of John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar. The show is planned for the same day as AEW All Out as part of WWE's counter-programming campaign against All Elite Wrestling.

The name of WWE's pay-per-view on September 20 will be Wrestlepalooza, according to WrestleVotes. Wrestlepalooza was previously an ECW event held on four occasions between 1995 and 2000.

WWE doesn't actually currently own the trademark for Wrestlepalooza with the United States Patent & Trademark Office, as the term is registered to Minnesota independent promotion F1rst Wrestling. The promotion has owned the trademark since 2013 and they have held 25 Wrestlepalooza events over the past 12 years, including as recently as June 2025. WWE may have simply reached a deal to acquire the Wrestlepalooza trademark which has yet to appear on USPTO's website, however.

Beyond the name of the September 20 WWE show, PWInsider has reported there have been discussions within the broadcast industry that the event could end up airing on ESPN to serve as a preview for the WWE-ESPN partnership, which begins in April 2026. WWE will announce the pay-per-view this week.
