John Layfield could be set to become a full-time talent in pro wrestling again, but it won't be for WWE.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has reported that Juggalo Championship Wrestling have been in talks with JBL about him becoming a full-time performer on their weekly show, JCW Lunacy. Layfield has appeared in JCW before, and he is scheduled to be involved at StrangleMania over WrestleMania 42 weekend on April 17 at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas.

JBL has appeared everywhere in pro wrestling since 2024, turning up in AAA, GCW, MLW, and TNA to dish out Clotheslines from Hell. Layfield was planned to be involved at TNA Slammiversary 2025 until plans ultimately changed.

Two names from the 1990s are also set to be brought in by Juggalo Championship Wrestling, according to Meltzer, including former ECW personality Joel Gertner as a manager and former WCW announcer Scott Hudson. Jonathan Coachman is also set to be a regular in JCW.

One of the key figures in Juggalo Championship Wrestling is Vince Russo, who joined the promotion as an investor in 2025. Russo is also involved in the booking of JCW.
