El Grande Americano has his hands raised by the referee in a wrestling ring after winning a match, whilst his opponent lays on the ring mat.

Chad Gable has officially confirmed that he was El Grande Americano and wrestled under the mask at WrestleMania 41.

Gable was in attendance at a Minnesota Twins baseball game on Sunday and announced he was dealing with a rotator cuff injury.

"I'm looking at the silver lining here. I have a little injury to my rotator cuff. But what it did do was buy me some time off the road to be home with my family and do stuff like this, go to a baseball game on a Sunday which I never get to do. So find the bright side, right?" Gable said.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion then mentioned one of his proudest moments recently was having a singles match at WrestleMania 41. Gable, of course, did not have a singles match at WrestleMania and he has effectively confirmed he was El Grande Americano, who defeated Rey Fenix at WWE's biggest show of the year.

El Grande Americano debuted in March 2025 and the character has been portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser during Gable's absence. Americano is the reigning WWE Speed Champion.

Gable has been gone from WWE TV since June, with the 39-year-old being written off after Penta snapped his arm on Monday Night Raw.
