Identity Of New El Grande Americano Revealed

After an absence of several weeks, El Grande Americano returned to WWE on Raw, but something seemed different about the legendary luchador.

On Raw, Chad Gable announced that he was injured and would be taking some time off after undergoing surgery, with many speculating that Gable is the titular lucha libre sensation. However, later in the show Americano made his return in a backstage segment with Gable’s crew American Made, looking as healthy as ever.

Whilst the real identity of El Grande Americano is unknown, some have theorised that Ludwig Kaiser is now under the hood, with reports from PWInsider and Fightful suggesting the former IMPERIUM member is in fact El Grande Americano.

Whomever El Grande Americano really is, what we do know is he has not wrestled since June 16 when he successfully defended the WWE Speed Championship against Berto, having originally won the title from Dragon Lee in early May. For Kaiser, he has not wrestled since defeating Tyler Bate in singles competition on WWE Main Event in early May.

The controversial luchador has not lost in singles competition since debuting for WWE in March 2025.
