After months of criticism, WWE are reportedly planning to reduce their ticket prices.

While cutting another pipe bomb on the April 6 edition of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk called out Pat McAfee and Ari Emanuel and urged for TKO to reduce ticket prices for WrestleMania 42.

"You want to talk about ticket sales? Do me a favour and call up that agent that was foolish enough to shoehorn you into this business and this show and tell him to lower the ticket prices. Lower the ticket prices because I want all of these families to come watch me stand on Roman Reigns' throat at WrestleMania, because my name is CM Punk and I approve this message," Punk said.

Since Raw, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that "it appears WWE is looking to lower ticket prices through the summer."

Ticket prices for WrestleMania 42, in particular, have been criticised since tickets went on sale. Initially, the cheapest one-day ticket was $266 but prices were as high as $16,000 for second row tickets. Two-day tickets for WrestleMania 42 began at $738 and rose to $46,000 for the second row, although prices have since been somewhat reduced.

WWE have run a number of promotions to try and boost ticket sales, and the company even announced that John Cena would be the host of WrestleMania, but only the 3:16 Day sale which provided fans with 31.6 per cent off WrestleMania tickets significantly boosted sales. As of Friday, April 3, ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 were 18.8 per cent behind the same point last year for WrestleMania 41, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported.

Since the completion of the WWE-UFC merger under TKO Group Holdings in September 2023, WWE's ticket prices have doubled from an average of $52 between 2020 and 2023 to $118 in 2025.
