One of WWE's top stars could be set for a stint on the shelf as reports have noted Seth Rollins suffered an injury at Crown Jewel, which led to the angle of The Vision turning on the World Heavyweight Champion on the post-pay-per-view edition of Monday Night Raw.
The possible injury coming so quickly after Rollins had a worked injury angle, though, means there is scepticism within WWE about whether Rollins' current issue is legitimate.
Beyond Seth Rollins, there is an update on what happened behind the scenes which led to the much-criticised finish of the X-Division Title match at TNA Bound For Glory, and it has also been revealed why IShowSpeed has been at the WWE Performance Center.
Pro wrestling rumours for October 14, 2025:
WWE Raw ended with a major angle as Bron Breakker turned on Seth Rollins, with Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman ultimately siding with Breakker over the World Heavyweight Champion.
PWInsider has reported that the angle came about due to Seth Rollins suffering an injury at Crown Jewel during his match with Cody Rhodes, with Rollins believed to have hurt his left shoulder during the landing of his coast-to-coast dive.
Rollins was pictured with a fan wearing a sling following Crown Jewel and Fightful Select has reported that Rollins was seen with his arm in a sling while backstage, with WWE internally treating the injury as legitimate. Rollins was credited for finishing the Crown Jewel match, as well as remaining in Australia to work Raw, and the hope within WWE was Seth's injury may not be as bad as first feared since he was cleared to get physical during the show-closing segment of Raw.
It has been noted that Rollins will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury.
Reports in recent days had noted that the plan for Survivor Series was CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso & LA Knight/Jimmy Uso vs. Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar & Austin Theory. There was heavy scepticism about the report following the Raw angle, but plans to carry out a split of The Vision appear to have come together at the last minute following Rollins' injury.
Fightful Select noted they were told the reported WarGames line-up was an option, and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attacking Rollins was hinted to have been a "heavy creative pivot." A source also indicated that a Bron Breakker split wasn't originally scheduled to take place until 2026.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also noted that The Vision were booked to remain together through WrestleMania, with Austin Theory joining the stable at some point. Those plans changed on Monday, however.
Due to the worked injury angle which led to Rollins making a return to cash-in on CM Punk at SummerSlam, there is a heavy dose of scepticism within WWE about Rollins' current injury from Crown Jewel.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, "many are not fully believing anything right now" and "the lack of trust right now is pretty high" due to WWE's recent attempts to work people within the company.
Another major singles match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins has been hinted at throughout 2025, and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the match was tentatively planned for WrestleMania 42.
"Seth Rollins was tentatively scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. I don't know this, but I have been told enough things to where I expected there to be a turn on Seth Rollins at some point. The whole thing with this faction was not about Seth Rollins, it was about Bron Breakker and making Bron Breakker the next Roman Reigns...I doubt it was going to be this early," Meltzer said.
That match is now up in the air, of course, due to Seth Rollins' injury at Crown Jewel.
Leon Slater defended the X-Division Championship against Je'Von Evans at TNA Bound For Glory on Sunday night. The in-ring action between the two competitors was widely praised, but the finish of the match has been heavily criticised.
Evans and Slater originally went to a time-limit draw, but the match was restarted for an additional five minutes by Santino Marella, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Those fans were quickly unhappy, however, as DarkState interfered and attacked both Slater and Evans to end the match in a no-contest.
The Takedown on SI has reported that WWE had a "significant say" in the booking of the X-Division Title match, with it being noted that WWE have "a lot of pull" in the booking of their wrestlers on TNA programming.
Plans for Evans and Slater to work together aren't over following Bound For Glory, and it is widely believed they will have another singles match, with NXT Halloween Havoc being discussed as a possible destination for the match.
DarkState's Osiris Griffin has responded to criticism of the Bound For Glory finish, tweeting: "Dudes with wives and kids losing sleep over some gymnastics."
IShowSpeed revealed that he was at the WWE Performance Center on Monday and the popular YouTuber was there filming for his new series, Speed Goes Pro, according to Fightful Select.
Speed is working directly with Randy Orton on the episode to see if he can perform as a WWE wrestler, and it is expected to be the first episode of the series.
WWE remains open to IShowSpeed working a match following his cameo in the Men's Royal Rumble Match earlier this year.
