Update On Brie Bella's WWE Status Following Royal Rumble Return

Brie Bella made her return to WWE in the 2026 women's Royal Rumble match, entering the contest at #29. Bella lasted around seven minutes in the match before she was thrown over the top rope by Lash Legend.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Brie's return to WWE TV was not a one-night return and she is going to be back on TV "for at least the time being."

Brie suggested she would be sticking around on WWE TV following the Royal Rumble, writing on Instagram: "I can't even express the gratitude I'm feeling right now. It's been a journey to get here but I'm back and it feels good!!! Love you Bella Army for always standing with your girl and thank you Riyadh for the very warm welcome, your chants and love meant everything. BRIEMODE IS ACTIVATED. And the Bella Twins are back!!!! YES! YES! YES!"

Brie Bella was serenaded with "YES!" chants upon her return at the Royal Rumble and performed the YES! Kicks, although Michael Cole did not mention Bella's husband Bryan Danielson on commentary.

Danielson working for AEW had previously been a roadblock to Brie returning to WWE, with the company even asking Danielson to stop performing the "Yes!" gesture in 2025. WWE were reportedly uncomfortable with using Bella due to Danielson being with AEW.
