WWE taped the June 26 episode of Friday Night SmackDown from The O2 in London, England on Tuesday ahead of the company travelling to Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions pay-per-view, and the show featured the full main roster debut of Blake Monroe, who appeared in her home country of the United Kingdom.
At the taping, Giulia went one-on-one with Kiana James and the two-time WWE Women's United States Champion defeated her former best friend in singles action. Giulia didn't have long to celebrate, however, as she was laid out by the debuting Blake Monroe after the match. Monroe initially beat down Giulia with strikes before the former NXT Women's North American Champion introduced a new finisher, ending the segment after hitting Giulia with a Neutraliser.
Monroe had used the Glamorous DDT as her finishing move during her time in NXT, while she had used Storm Zero and MayDay as a finisher in All Elite Wrestling. The Neutraliser was popularised as a finishing manoeuvre by Claudio Castagnoli during his WWE stint as Cesaro.
Blake Monroe's full SmackDown debut had been teased since WrestleMania 42 and her 'coming soon' vignettes were becoming reminiscent of Veer and his long wait to actually appear on the WWE main roster. Her only in-person SmackDown appearance before Tuesday night was on the May 22 edition of SmackDown when she appeared in an 18-second backstage segment where she was rude to Chelsea Green.
