Push Within WWE For Chad Gable To Have Prominent Role At SummerSlam

Chad Gable may be featured prominently in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota at one of WWE's biggest pay-per-views of the year.

SummerSlam is scheduled to emanate from US Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 and WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that several within WWE are pushing for Chad Gable to have a 'prominent presence' at what WWE bill as the 'Biggest Party of the Summer.'

What exactly that 'prominent presence' would be is unknown, but Gable has featured regularly on WWE programming since he was unmasked as Original El Grande Americano by El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de los Grandes on May 30. This has seen Gable be featured as a babyface, apologising to WWE's luchadores for disrespecting Lucha Libre, while he picked up a comeback win over Rusev on June 15. A reunion with former tag team partner Otis has also been teased.

Gable has long been considered one of WWE's most underrated talents since he joined the company in 2013. The former Raw, SmackDown, and NXT tag team champion re-signed with WWE in the summer of 2024.
