Leon Slater is the youngest X-Division Champion in TNA history, having defeated Moose for the title at Slammiversary on Sunday, July 20.

Moose kicked out of the Swanton 450 earlier in the match and he looked set to retain after connecting with multiple Light's Out spears. Slater fought back, though, and paid tribute to Jeff Hardy by connecting with a Swanton Bomb and another Swanton 450 for the win. Moose then put over Slater post-match, putting the gold around the wait of the 20-year-old.

Slater has been a part of TNA Wrestling since signing with the promotion in October 2023, having joined the company after cementing himself as one of the top stars on the United Kingdom independent wrestling scene. Slater has remained a top star in the UK while building his name in TNA Wrestling over the past couple of years, during which he has consistently wowed fans, particularly with his Swanton 450 finishing move.

Slater’s win saw him capture the X-Division Title at the third attempt, having previously unsuccessfully challenged for the belt in October 2024 and in an Ultimate X Match at Rebellion 2025.

The victory ended Moose’s X-Division Title reign at close to 300 days. He won the belt on the November 7, 2024 episode of TNA IMPACT from “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
