There has been a big blow to morale in WWE as several changes have been made to the severance package of WWE employees, leading to a lot of unhappiness to those working in the company.
First reported by PWInsider, WWE employees were informed via a memo that changes have been made to their severance policy, with the old policy of employees receiving one month for every year they worked for the company being removed. The TKO policy of two weeks of severance pay for each year an employee worked for the company will be implemented. Fightful Select followed up with some more details, noting that the eligibility criteria for several benefits including health insurance and severance pay is contingent on longevity - employees must have been working within WWE/TKO for at least one continuous year before being able to qualify.
In addition to the blow to morale mentioned, Fightful have noted feelings of “disgust” from employees, especially with those less-tenured. The talk and speculation amongst workers is a belief that TKO are “getting ahead of potential cuts”, though there is nothing concrete to support this.
