Blake Monroe Turns Heel At WWE Evolution 2025

Blake Monroe is a heel once again following her betrayal of Jordynne Grace at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view on Sunday, July 13 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Monroe wasn't originally booked on the show, but Grace asked the former Mariah May to accompany her to the ring for the Juggernaut's NXT Women's Title match against Jacy Jayne. The invitation came only one day after Monroe and Grace defeated Jayne and Fallon Henley at NXT Great American Bash.

The heel turn came after Blake Monroe retrieved the NXT Women's Title belt from Fatal Influence's Jazmyn Nyx, only to suddenly deck Grace with the title when the referee was distracted. This allowed Jayne to connect with a slap and pin Grace for the win.

Blake Monroe signed with WWE within days of her AEW exit at the end of May, and she debuted on NXT as a babyface on June 3. It emerged shortly after, however, that a heel turn had been discussed for Monroe and it was considered a possibility for the near future.

Monroe - as Mariah May - spent much of her time in All Elite Wrestling as a heel either alongside or against Toni Storm.
