AEW Plans For Chicago Residency Revealed

All Elite Wrestling are planning to hold another residency this Summer, with the promotion scheduled to settle in Chicago.

WrestleTix has reported that AEW are planning to run a six-show residency at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois from Wednesday, July 16 through Thursday, July 31. July 16 will be the post-All In edition of AEW Dynamite.

The Aragon Ballroom has a capacity of 5,000 but will have a smaller set-up for professional wrestling. The venue was previously used for filming of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and served as the theatre where Thomas and Martha Wayne were shot.

All Elite Wrestling have had success with residencies in the past, hosting shows at Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas during the Summer of 2024. AEW already have plans in place for a residency at Philadelphia's 2300 Arena from August 27 to September 11. In addition to Dynamite and Collision, Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view will be taped from the former ECW Arena.

All Elite Wrestling have held numerous shows in Chicago since the promotion was founded in 2019. AEW Dynamite Beach Break will emanate from Chicago's NOW Arena on Wednesday, May 14.
