Randy Orton had an RKO party in the main event of WWE Backlash. Orton hit John Cena with several RKOs during their Undisputed WWE Championship match, and after one of the moves, WWE producers and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis rushed to the ring to check on the two referees who were down without bringing a third referee to the ring to count the pin.
After arguing with Nick Aldis, Orton proceeded to give the SmackDown GM, Shawn Daivari, Shane Helms, and Jamie Noble all RKOs, as well as a mystery figure posing as a WWE producer. The Local Competitor has reported on X/Twitter that the mystery producer was Austin Mulitalo, an independent wrestler who primarily performs in Missouri.
Mulitalo is a regular for the World League Wrestling territory of the National Wrestling Alliance founded by Harley Race. Mulitalo is one-half of the NWA WLW Tag Team Champions with his Blazin' Guns partner Blade Lennox.
Other indy talents to appear at Backlash, according to Fightful Select, included Nixi XS, Mike Outlaw, Moses The Deliverer, and Skylar Sparks, who all appeared as medics.
