After several false starts and a host of injuries, Darby Allin recently conquered Mount Everest, planting an All Elite Wrestling flag at its summit.

With the climb done and dusted, Allin is expected back in AEW in the coming months - though no timeframe for his return has been revealed - with Darby having been off AEW TV since late 2024 to prepare for his expedition.

A report from PWInsider states that talent within AEW expressed ‘a lot of happiness’ for Allin, with the Everest climb having been a longstanding personal goal of his. Indeed, Allin first planned to scale the infamous mountain in 2024, but a broken foot caused those initial plans to be scrapped.

AEW had originally hoped that Darby would be back in time for the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and Double or Nothing, but both events have ultimately passed. Whether Allin is back in time for All In Texas in early July remains to be seen.

Allin’s last match came in December 2024, a time limit draw with Ricochet in the 2024 Continental Classic tournament.
