WWE Not Renewing Shotzi's Contract

Shotzi (FKA Shotzi Blackheart) will soon no longer be a WWE wrestler.

Shotzi was suddenly moved to the WWE alumni section on Saturday, May 3. Fightful Select has since reported that Shotzi's contract is up "soon" and WWE have informed the 33-year-old that her contract is not being renewed. There is no word on the exact date Shotzi's contract expires.

Shotzi commented on her impending WWE departure, tweeting: "I am more than grateful for the wild ride! Can't wait to see where this crazy journey takes me next! I hope to make all my believers proud."

Shotzi signed with WWE in November 2019 and initially performed on NXT, during which she held the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships in 2021 with Ember Moon (AKA Athena). Shotzi moved to the main roster in the Summer of 2021 but headed back to NXT in December 2024 after nine months out of action with a torn ACL.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion hasn't wrestled since the February 19 episode of WWE Speed but she did appear at NXT Stand & Deliver, accompanying her stablemates Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley to the ring for their four-way tag team elimination match.

Shotzi's departure was confirmed following the releases of 16 WWE talents, including her stablemate Gigi Dolin.
