Liv Morgan dislocated her shoulder on the June 16 edition of WWE Raw, suffering the injury during a singles bout with Kairi Sane.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion rolled out the ring after taking a front bump from a trip, with ringside medical staff and the referee calling the match off as Morgan was helped to the back. A follow-up from PWInsider states there is a lot of sympathy within WWE for Morgan, and whilst the severity of her injury has yet to be revealed, there is hope it won’t be a worst-case scenario.
If the worst-case scenario does pan out, then Morgan can expect to be out of action for upwards of 16 weeks. There is no blame being put on anyone for the injury, however, as it has been viewed as a freak accident.
What this means for the fate of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships is unknown at the time of writing, with it appearing that WWE were pivoting to a Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs. The Bella Twins programme heading into Evolution II.
