Will Ospreay was written off of AEW TV at All In Texas following a heinous Pillmanising at the hands of Claudio Castagnoli during the main event of the show.
Ospreay ran in to help Hangman Page during his AEW World Championship Texas Death Match with Jon Moxley, only for The Death Riders to swarm the ‘Aerial Assassin’. A report from Fightful Select suggests the injury angle was designed to write Ospreay off of AEW television as the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been working banged up.
There’s no word as to how long Ospreay will be gone from AEW, but the report suggests he could be gone for ‘over a month’ at least. Ospreay has become one of AEW’s biggest stars since signing in early 2024, and has wrestled over 60 times for the company since becoming ‘All Elite’.
Ospreay wasn’t the only AEW star written off TV at All In by The Death Riders, with AEW Trios Champion Samoa Joe suffering the exact same fate after the main card opening match win with The Opps over Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Gabe Kidd. Joe is set to miss several weeks of AEW TV to promote series two of Twisted Metal.
