John Cena's WWE career is already in its final months, with Cena planning to retire at the end of 2025.

John Cena's father has already noted that Cena's final match is scheduled to take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, with the 17-time world champion himself revealing that his last bow will be in mid-December.

Some fans had expected the retirement match to take place on a pay-per-view, possibly named Ruthless Aggression, but that won't be the case. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that with the addition of Evolution to the calendar and increasing SummerSlam to two nights, WWE will complete their 2025 commitment of pay-per-views to Peacock with Survivor Series on November 29.

This means there are no plans for a WWE pay-per-view in December and the month will instead host the final edition of Saturday Night's Main Event of the year, which will feature Cena's last match. Should SNME take place in mid-December, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has noted the event would likely be held on Saturday, December 13.
