Discussions over headline matches at WrestleMania 43 are underway within WWE, with plans for the company's biggest event of 2027 coming together.
Reports this week noted that Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi was planned for WrestleMania 43, and now WrestleVotes on Fightful Select has noted that Reigns vs. Femi is emerging as a frontrunner to take place at the April 2027 event, with several in WWE viewing it as a potential main event.
Cody Rhodes and CM Punk are also expected to have prominent spots at WrestleMania 43, with one source noting WWE could easily do Rhodes vs. Punk again as a headline match. Punk defeated Rhodes to retain the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2026 in a divisive match.
The internal hope is also that Rhea Ripley will be heavily focused on at WrestleMania 43. Ripley is currently out of action after undergoing surgery to repair a slight meniscus tear, although WWE are hoping Ripley will return to the ring around the 2027 Royal Rumble.
WWE WrestleMania 43 is currently scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is tentatively planned for April 10 and April 11, 2027. No official date has been announced as of yet, however, and even the location is up in the air amidst airstrikes being carried out against Saudi Arabia by the Houthis.
