Syko Stu (real name Stuart Smith) is alert but has serious facial injuries as he remains hospitalised following an incident at a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy event on Saturday, August 23 that saw Raja Jackson render Stu unconscious with a slam and punch him 21 times.

It was noted shortly after the incident that Stu had "flatlined", but it emerged in recent days that Stu was now conscious after being admitted to critical care. In the latest update, wrestler Douglas Malo revealed to TMZ that Syko Stu's injuries are not life-threatening, but still serious.

"[Stu] remembers mostly what happened during the early parts of the day. He's talking a little bit. He's alert. He's still got some injuries that are very serious. Not like life-threatening serious, but facial injuries, stuff like that," Malo said.

A GoFundMe has been launched for Syko Stu and over $175,000 have been raised so far. Top donors include MrBeast, Chris Jericho, and Derek MPMD. Several other wrestlers have also donated, including Finn Balor, Nic Nemeth, Jack Perry, and Swerve Strickland.

The Los Angeles Police Department are investigating Raja Jackson's attack of Syko Stu, but KnokX Pro management have encouraged wrestlers not to cooperate with the investigation without speaking to them first. WWE ID, meanwhile, have severed ties with KnokX Pro, while AJ Mana has been fired from his day job.
