Leon Slater was involved in the highlight moment of TNA's Rebellion pay-per-view as he hit a Swanton 450 from the top of one of the Ultimate X posts to the rest of the field.
Slater had an incredibly rough landing, however, as he smashed against the floor, such was his speed on the way down and landing between the wrestlers who were trying to catch him. Slater was able to continue with the match and he grabbed the X-Division Title, but was speared by Moose, with Moose being declared the winner despite Slater's feet touching the mat.
Fightful Select has reported that Slater appeared to be okay backstage after the match at Rebellion. AJ Francis has revealed on X/Twitter that Slater told him immediately after the spot that he was okay because he's a "Hardy Boy."
Slater has also tweeted: "Thank you everyone that has showed concern or sent a message. I appreciate it more than you know. I LIVE TO TELL THA TALE. MOMENT MAKA."
There has been some heat on Matt Cardona from AJ Francis following the spot, with replays of the moment appearing to show Cardona moving out of the way. After GCW owner Brett Lauderdale commented on the spot, Francis replied: "I agree… now let's point out who ran out of the way upon impact & where they are booked the most."
Francis' reply also included a photo with the talents huddled together trying to catch Slater, except for Matt Cardona, who was slightly to the side.
