Night Of Champions 2025 is fast approaching, as WWE heads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 28 next week. The card continues to take shape as another match was officially added to the show as of last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, and fitting with the name of this premium live event, it will be a championship match.
Solo Sikoa called out Jacob Fatu on SmackDown to try and find some peace after Fatu turned against Sikoa back at the Money In The Bank 2025 premium live event earlier this month. Despite his attempts to emotionally sway Fatu, the reigning United States Champion saw right through the façade and aired his grievances with his former ally. Closing out his promo, Fatu declared that he was willing to put his title on the line against his family member, laying the title in the middle of the ring between them. Physicality proceeded to take place as JC Mateo and Jimmy Uso would get involved in a brawl.
Later in the show, Fatu cut a backstage promo revealing that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had made a title match official for Night Of Champions 2025 between Fatu and Sikoa, marking their first ever singles match together. Both King & Queen Of The Tournaments finals are already set for the show, in addition to CM Punk vs. John Cena, despite Punk’s previous comments about WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows. Dominik Mysterio will also defend his Intercontinental Title against AJ Styles.
