TNA held some tapings last night in Moon Township, Pennsylvania at the UPMC Events Center, and it proved to be a notable set of tapings for Impact for multiple reasons - one of which being the arrival of a brand new name to TNA in the form of a former WWE wrestler.
Mustafa Ali was on the verge of taking out former ally John Skyler during these Impact tapings, all until some unknown music hit. Eventually, the name of Cedric Alexander popped up on the screen, prompting a big pop from the crowd as he emerged from the back and walked down to the ring to confront his former 205 Live friend and enemy, Ali. The pair battled multiple times in WWE in the cruiserweight division, the most notable of which coming on the WrestleMania 34 kickoff show. Alexander stood alongside Order Four as Ali retreated out of the ring.
Alexander was released from WWE back in February of this year, and in the last few months had spoken about his potential desire to sign with AEW, re-joining his former Hurt Business allies in Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin. For now at least, Alexander will be appearing in TNA.
