On RAW this week, Liv Morgan suffered an unfortunate injury in a match against Kairi Sane in what is believed to be a dislocated shoulder that will require surgery and a potential six-month timeframe for her absence.
It was reported over the week that WWE were ripping up their current WWE Evolution PLE plans due to Morgan’s injury, with the original belief being that a match involving Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defending the Women’s Tag Team Titles against The Bella Twins was the intended direction.
PWInsider have offered a further update on the status of the Women’s Tag Team Titles following the news of Morgan’s injury, reporting that despite Morgan being expected to be off the road and not making any appearances for the foreseeable future, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are NOT to be vacated. This likely means a new tag team partner will step up in the place of Morgan during her absence (perhaps Roxanne Perez?). It isn’t known if this means a tag title match with The Bella Twins is still on the cards and what this means for Evolution.
It was noted soon after the incident on RAW that there was no heat on anyone involved in the injury, with Morgan simply taking a bad and unfortunate landing during a sequence with her opponent.
