Apollo Crews' next destination following his WWE release may have already been revealed.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there has been chatter that TNA Wrestling are interested in signing Apollo Crews.
It is unclear where TNA's interest stands following recent backstage changes in the promotion which has seen Tommy Dreamer part ways with TNA, while Road Dogg is expected to join TNA and be in attendance for Slammiversary. At the very least, though, Crews has been discussed within TNA as a potential addition to the roster when he is available.
A former WWE talent who is a multi-time singles champion will reportedly make their TNA debut at Slammiversary, with Mustafa Ali scheduled to defend the TNA International Championship against a mystery opponent at the pay-per-view. Whether this will end up being Crews is unknown, but it has not been 90 days since his WWE release in the aftermath of WrestleMania, which would mean his non-compete clause would have needed to be shortened or scrapped for any TNA debut to take place.
Apollo Crews would fit the criteria to be the former WWE wrestler at Slammiversary as he is a one-time WWE United States Champion and one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, having wrestled for WWE from 2015 until his release earlier this year.
