Jack Perry Yet To Re-Sign With AEW

As of Thursday morning, Jack Perry had not signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling, according to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer.

That doesn't necessarily mean Perry will leave AEW, however, as AEW CEO Tony Khan noted during the pre-Forbidden Door media call that his plan is for Jack Perry to be a part of the promotion for a long time.

"The plan for AEW and Jack Perry is for Jack to be here for a long time. I believe that ‘Jungle’ Jack Perry’s a great wrestler for many years. I continue to feel that way. I like Jack very, very much personally and I think he’s got a very bright future in wrestling. He’s got a great mind for wrestling. He’s a great athlete and he loves wrestling," Khan stated.

"It’s been really gratifying to me, and I think for a lot of the fans, the return of ‘Jungle’ Jack Perry and seeing the fans embrace Jack and the great matches he’s been having. It was a major change in the Continental Classic, a huge shift when Darby Allin was knocked out of the tournament, and I think Jack made the most of a huge opportunity entering the Continental Classic. He had some fantastic matches and he hit the ground running and made the most of his run in that tournament, and continued since then having fantastic matches. So I'm very happy for ‘Jungle’ Jack Perry and the plan is for Jack to be in AEW for a long time. So that is going to happen."

Jack Perry is an AEW original, having signed with the promotion in January 2019. The former Jungle Boy is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion with Jurassic Express partner Luchasaurus, as well as a one-time TNT Champion, one-time AEW National Champion, and one-time FTW Champion.

It emerged earlier this month that Jack Perry's deal with All Elite Wrestling was due to expire "at any moment" and that the two sides were in talks over a new contract.
