Syko Stu has been released from hospital, one week on from a serious incident at a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy show involving Raja Jackson.

Syko Stu - real name Stuart Smith - and his partner Contessa Patterson released the following statement on Facebook:

"Stuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting. He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER. His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.

"He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through.

"We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we've received during this time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way - whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express.

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you. With love and respect, Contessa Patterson & Stuart Smith (aka SykoStu)"

Syko Stu was punched 21 times by Raja Jackson on Saturday, August 23 after being rendered unconscious from a slam by Jackson. The incident occurred following a backstage altercation earlier in the night in which Syko Stu hit Jackson with a beer can as he believed the son of Rampage Jackson was a fellow wrestler.

After Stu apologised several times, it was agreed to turn the incident into an angle, but Jackson was encouraged by AJ Mana to give Stu a receipt, and Jackson later said on his Kick stream that he planned to hit Stu as hard as he could until he was pulled away.

The incident is still being investigated by authorities and has moved to the state level, according to Douglas Malo, the wrestler who pulled Jackson away from Stu.
