Rumours have swirled suggesting that Britt Baker could be close to leaving All Elite Wrestling for WWE, however this does not appear to be the case.

Former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman stated on his Behind the Turnbuckle podcast that Baker was reportedly close to jumping ship from AEW to WWE, with the former AEW Women’s World Champion seemingly having become persona non grata in the organisation over the past year. However, a follow-up from Fightful Select suggests this to be false, with Baker having committed to a five-year deal with AEW in 2021, meaning Baker will be with AEW for ‘well over another year’ if not longer if injury time is added on.

After spearheading AEW’s women’s division, Baker has seemingly fallen out of favour in AEW, with multiple reports alluding to Baker’s backstage and locker room conduct, such as an incident with MJF and Alicia Atout in 2024.

Baker only wrestled five matches for AEW in 2024, her last coming in November with a win over Penelope Ford on Dynamite. Reports in early 2025 suggested Baker has been benched for becoming increasingly difficult to work with.
