Ric Flair has announced he is now cancer-free after undergoing treatment for skin cancer. Flair wrote on X/Twitter: "Thank You Academic Alliance In Dermatology! I’m Now Cancer Free! WOOOOO!"

Flair announced in early June that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer, noting it was the second time in three years he had been dealing with skin cancer. He began treatment shortly after, pulling out of convention appearances as a result.

Ric Flair is currently under contract with All Elite Wrestling, although he has not been used on a full-time basis by the promotion since Sting's retirement at March 2024's Revolution pay-per-view. Flair revealed earlier this year that AEW rarely book him due to Tony Khan finding out he is on blood thinners.

Flair did make an appearance on AEW Collision in May to pay tribute to his late friend Steve "Mongo" McMichael, who passed away following a battle with ALS.

AEW's Jim Ross also recently underwent treatment for colon cancer and he is also now cancer-free. The legendary commentator was able to make his return at All In Texas and he called the action for the final two matches of the night.
