Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan was one of several short matches to take place at WrestleMania 42, with the match only lasting six minutes before Morgan pinned Vaquer following a second oblivion to become the new WWE Women's World Champion.
WrestleMania 42 was filled with downtime over the course of the weekend, with the show being filled with adverts to the point fans joked WrestleMania was taking place around WWE's promotion of the upcoming Hulk Hogan docuseries on Netflix.
There was reportedly a different reason for Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer being so short, however. According to Bodyslam, WWE kept the match to only six minutes because both Vaquer and Morgan were banged up heading into the contest and the company didn't want to risk further injuries.
Liv Morgan sustained a haematoma during the build to WrestleMania after clonking heads with Roxanne Perez during a backstage attack from Stephanie Vaquer on the April 6 episode of Monday Night Raw. When Vaquer became banged up ahead of WrestleMania is unknown.
The feud between Vaquer and Morgan looks set to continue following WrestleMania as the former champion confronted Liv following Morgan's win over Sol Ruca on the April 20 episode of Raw.
