WWE pay-per-views/premium live events have aired on Peacock in the United States since March 2021 and they will continue to be broadcast on the service until the deal expires in March 2026.
From WrestleMania 42, however, WWE pay-per-views will air on ESPN platforms in the United States, with the two companies having agreed to a five-year deal worth $1.6 billion. The arrangement is worth $325 million per year.
NBCUniversal did attempt to retain WWE's US pay-per-view rights on Peacock and Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that Peacock's bid was "in the neighbourhood of $275 million per year."
It is unknown if that amount was to retain the current deal with WWE, which, in addition to main roster pay-per-views, includes NXT's major events, WWE's video library, five documentaries, and 250 hours of original programming. The new deal with ESPN simply includes WWE's main roster pay-per-views.
WWE also shopped around a separate deal with WrestleMania as its own package, but no arrangement materialised.
