AEW Collision and TNA Thursday Night IMPACT aired against each other from 9 pm to 10 pm ET on Thursday, April 2, with Collision moving out of the show's traditional time slot of Saturday nights at 8 pm ET due to TNT's coverage of March Madness.

Collision going head-to-head against IMPACT appears to have affected the TNA show's ratings as IMPACT averaged 200,000 viewers and a 0.05 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. In total viewers, IMPACT was down 22 per cent from the March 26 episode. Collision averaged 373,000 total viewers and a 0.07 rating in the 18-49 demographic on April 2.

According to Fightful Select, TNA President Carlos Silva was unhappy about AEW airing Collision on Thursday. The decision for Collison to air on Thursday night instead of on Saturday after March Madness, though, was reportedly a Warner Bros. Discovery call and AEW would have actually preferred to air after the March Madness games because of the lead-in.

Whether this was a factor in TNA blocking multiple contracted wrestlers from performing at independent wrestling shows against AEW talents is unknown. TNA's only comment on the matter was that, "TNA wrestlers were pulled due to partner conflicts."
