The New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne) are believed to be injured, with the team having not wrestled since late May.
Dunne and Bate last appeared on WWE TV on the May 26 edition of Main Event with a win over A-Town Down Under, but have been nowhere to be seen in the ensuing weeks. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, both men are, in fact, injured and on the shelf. The nature of Dunne and Bate’s respective injuries is unknown at the time of writing, nor is the amount of time both men are expected to miss from active competition.
This latest setback is particularly unfortunate for Bate, as the ‘Big Strong Boy’ only returned to the ring in March following a nine-month layoff with a torn pectoral muscle. Since returning, he resumed his tag partnership with frenemy Dunne, but the two have mainly wrestled on Main Event.
During Bate’s absence in late 2024, Dunne embarked on a short heel singles run, but ultimately did not have much success in the division as he lost a feud to former Brawling Brutes teammate Sheamus.
