CM Punk has been absent from WWE programming ever since the RAW after WrestleMania 42 where he claimed that he was not going anywhere after his loss of the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns in the main event of WWE’s big weekend in Las Vegas. After being first advertised for the upcoming European tour and then taken off all advertising for the tour, questions were raised about his status in WWE. It was learned that this came down simply to “scheduling changes”, but more has now been learned on his current absence from weekly TV.
False Finish are reporting that CM Punk is currently awaiting creative plans from WWE, with there being nothing presently for him. Some of this is said to come with the changes across the Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown rosters, with Punk’s schedule around and plans post-WrestleMania getting changed due to Gunther moving over to SmackDown to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Jacob Fatu heading over to RAW to feud with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
There are no updates on when Punk will be back on WWE programming.
