AEW is taking over the Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City, New York later tonight for the Double Or Nothing 2026 PPV, and some potential surprises might be in store for those in attendance. Reports have emerged that an absent name who has been on the injury shelf since last year will be in and around the area for the show.
Fightful Select are reporting that former TNT Champion Wardlow is “in town” for AEW Double Or Nothing 2026. There is nothing on potential creative plans for Wardlow, though it is noted that he’s been present at more shows in recent times as he prepares for an eventual return to the ring. Wardlow last returned at AEW Forbidden Door 2025, but was injured upon his return angle when he attacked Swerve Strickland and joined the Don Callis Family.
It should be noted that Wardlow was also backstage at the AEW Revolution 2026 PPV and did not appear onscreen. Wardlow has been busy in his absence, appearing in the American Gladiators reboot alongside fellow AEW star Kamille and WWE’s The Miz.
