No Deal Finalised Between AEW And Kairi Sane

While a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had noted the belief was that Kairi Sane was simply waiting for a work visa to join All Elite Wrestling, a deal between the two sides may not be so close to being completed.

Fightful Select has claimed that Kairi Sane is not signed with AEW and no deal has been finalised. Kairi's US work visa has expired, however, and she would need to be sponsored to have the visa renewed. Should she eventually sign with AEW, an expedited visa process can begin, which can take as little as 15 working days.

It was reported in September that Kairi and All Elite Wrestling had held talks. There is heavy interest in Sane from Japan, with Fightful noting this includes multiple standing offers from promotions in Japan, but no deal has been finalised there either.

Kairi Sane is currently a free agent, having been released by WWE as part of major roster cuts in April 2026 just days after WrestleMania 42. She had been in her second run with WWE, having returned to the company in 2023.
