WWE released another batch of wrestlers over the last couple of days, letting seventeen names across both the main roster and NXT which saw names Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, Cora Jade, Shayna Baszler, Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Gigi Dolin, Eddy Thorpe, Riley Osbourne, Javier Bernal, Dani Palmer, Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolgang, Shotzi, Oro Mensah and Jakara Jackson let go from the company.
Many of those released have made comments about their exits, whether that be expressing feelings of disappointment, motivation, or something else. Many of those who are elsewhere in the wrestling world, whether that be those who have never competed in WWE or those who have suffered their own releases, have spoken out too. Of these includes Nixon Newell, the former Tegan Nox in WWE, who was quite colourful with her language when talking about her former employer. Taking to X, she said the following;
“Imagine releasing talent like that!…place is f***ing insane!”
Nox has been released twice by WWE. Last year, it was noted by former WWE wrestler Dijak that WWE’s release practice was awful, with him revealing that many wrestlers only find out about their releases due to it being posted online by news sources, rather than being told themselves.
