WWE President Nick Khan has internally claimed that criticism of the company's product is simply from a "vocal minority."

WWE held a town hall meeting at WWE HQ on Monday, April 27, during which an employee asked how WWE are addressing "concerns about over-commercialisation and creative direction."

Audio of the meeting published by POST Wrestling has revealed that Nick Khan categorised any criticism of the company as coming from a minority of fans.

"To me, if you make business decisions based on online sentiment, just know that you're going to be making said decisions on a minority percentage of voices, a vocal minority," Khan said.

The WWE president then gave examples of select comments from social media over the past 11 years, mentioning criticism of Roman Reigns in 2020 and Reigns' 2015 Royal Rumble win, Bad Bunny in the company, The Rock's return in 2024, and John Cena's retirement tour in 2025.

Khan also discussed a comment from one fan which suggested WWE should not re-sign CM Punk in 2023. Khan then referred to comments from TKO President Mark Shapiro earlier in the meeting about how online sentiment showed night two of WrestleMania 42 was more favourably received than night one.

To this, Khan said: "I said CM Punk, Roman Reigns, as anyone who watched it [knows], stole the show. Pretty good re-signing CM Punk, who's been a model citizen here."

Khan then noted that internal dialogue about WWE's product is the most important thing, adding: "So the most important thing is to have open dialogue. Myself, Paul, the creative team, what's working, what's not working, who to push, who not to push."

Nick Khan has already claimed criticism aimed at WWE is simply from a "vocal minority", saying at SBJ CAA World Congress of Sports in Los Angeles that criticism of WWE working with Saudi Arabia is from a minority of fans.

It was reported ahead of WrestleMania 42 that WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was very much aware of fan unhappiness with the company's televised product. At the same town hall meeting, it was announced that Triple H had signed a new multi-year deal with WWE to remain head of creative.
