The Berwyn Police Department has confirmed that a stabbing did not take place following the Ruthless Pro Wrestling event at the Berwyn Eagles Club on Saturday, March 28.

POST Wrestling, who received the incident report following a Freedom of Information request, has reported the incident was investigated by Detective William Massuci. After speaking to someone identified as the manager of Ruthless Pro Wrestling and Krule, the Berwyn Police Department closed the case, stating there was no stabbing and that Krule did not wish to pursue any criminal complaints.

Claims of an alleged stabbing following the RPW show first emerged after a video filmed by TJ DeHaan of several wrestlers punching a fan as he made his way out of the Berwyn Eagles Club was shared online by deathmatch wrestler Lou Nixon, with it being claimed the fan was being attacked after allegedly stabbing Krule.

Nixon claimed to Cultaholic on March 29 that Krule and the individual who allegedly attacked the wrestler had issues throughout the RPW show, with Mickie Knuckles also claiming the fan tackled Krule over the merchandise table and then stabbed the former MLW World Heavyweight Champion.

Doubt over the alleged stabbing quickly emerged, though, as an anonymous source also told Cultaholic that there wasn't a stabbing and they believed the stabbing story was invented to "save face and to not look bad on the internet." GCW owner Brett Lauderdale later referred to the RPW incident as a "fake stabbing" and video footage of the altercation between the fan and Krule, which later emerged, did not show a knife. Instead, the footage showed a verbal confrontation between Krule and the fan before Krule began punching the fan. This resulted in the individual tackling Krule as they both spilt across the Berwyn Eagles Club.

The incident report from the Berwyn Police Department noted Detective Massuci was tasked with investigating what happened after being alerted to the Cultaholic article from March 29. Masucci then contacted an individual referred to as the manager of Ruthless Pro Wrestling in the report, who stated an intoxicated fan was "causing problems early in the night" and was warned by management to calm down or he would be removed from the venue.

The unnamed manager of RPW claimed the fan approached Krule after the March 28 event, at which point "the fan ended up attacking his wrestler and tackled him to the ground. The fan continued to punch the wrestler several times. Then the rest of the wrestlers/employees came in to help and got the fan off of him and escorted the fan out of the business." The unnamed manager stated that "[Redacted] was not stabbed," in reference to Krule, and they did not call 911 as police officers were already at the event.

Krule was contacted at the airport by police on his way home and, according to the report, told Masucci that "Some guy was causing problems all night and came up to him at the end of the night and struck him several times and tackled him to the ground. His peers then got the fan off of him and took matters into their own hands."

The March 28 show from RPW was the final event under Chris Kohlenberg and, as of April 1, the promotion is owned by Rickey Shane Page, SHLAK, and Dred. Page noted to Blvd Bullies that he didn't know if there was a stabbing, but Krule may have had a cut because of his death match with SHLAK at the event.

The fallout from the incident has seen Berwyn Eagles Club lose their licence to host professional wrestling events. A GoFundMe has been launched with a goal of $3,000 to help cover operating costs for the venue while the club explores new business ideas to remain open.

Since 2005, 284 pro wrestling events have taken place at the Berwyn Eagles Club, according to Cagematch. The majority of those shows were hosted by AAW, but the likes of GCW, RISE, and SHIMMER have also run events at the building.
