John Cena only has a handful of appearances left, and one of them will be at the upcoming Clash In Paris premium live event as WWE heads over to France later this month. On the August 8 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Cena’s PLE opponent was officially announced.

The now former WWE Champion opened up SmackDown, declaring his fear of being forgotten, among other things, but looked on to the locker room to come out and stand up to him - this brought out Logan Paul. The social media mega star stated that he wanted a match with John Cena in a French-speaking country, though not in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where SmackDown was being held, and instead at the Clash In Paris PLE. This was quickly accepted by John Cena and made official.

Cena and Paul did in fact clash in Montreal, as a major tag team match event was set up in the opening segment as Cena & WWE Champion Cody Rhodes teamed up to face Paul & Drew McIntyre, though the match ended in a disqualification. Cena vs. Paul is the second official match after Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Title. When it comes to the status of Roman Reigns for the PLE, a report noted his status for the show. It was revealed recently the reason why Cena's final match will not be on a PLE in December.
