WWE SummerSlam is planned for August 1 and August 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the two-night pay-per-view may feature a first-time-ever clash.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Jade Cargill vs. Charlotte Flair has been pitched within WWE and was at one point pencilled in for SummerSlam, which is internally considered the ideal setting for the match.

WWE have been teasing a singles match between Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair stretching back to October 2023, and it was teased again in May 2025, but the two talents have only begun feuding on a full-time basis in recent weeks. The trio of Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin defeated Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Rhea Ripley on the May 23 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, and Cargill and Michin picked up a win over Flair and Tiffany Stratton on the June 5 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Charlotte Flair also interfered in Jade Cargill's WWE Women's Title match against Rhea Ripley at Clash in Italy on May 31, placing Ripley's foot on the bottom rope when Cargill had the match won following interference from B-Fab and Michin.

SummerSlam may also feature multiple WWE wrestlers who are currently absent from TV. CM Punk is planned for what WWE often bill as the 'Biggest Party of the Summer', while Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre have been mentioned on internal WWE documents connected to SummerSlam.
