Intercontinental Title Match Confirmed For WWE SummerSlam 2026

The men’s Intercontinental Championship will be on the line at SummerSlam 2026, with a singles bout confirmed for the show.

Champion Penta will put the gold on the line at the ‘biggest party of the Summer’, with Chad Gable emerging from the July 13 edition of Raw as number one contender, having won a gauntlet match for the right to face the champion in Minneapolis, MN, on the weekend of August 1 and August 2.

Gable overcame Dominik Mysterio, Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, Rusev, and Ethan Page to earn his shot, and will now look to land his first singles championship in WWE.

Elsewhere on Raw, LA Knight issued a challenge to The Bloodline at SummerSlam, with Knight finding unlikely allies in Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa after the latter turned on his family, felling Jimmy Uso with a Samoan Spike. If accepted, it looks like it will be Knight, Keys, & Solo vs. The Usos & Jacob Fatu.
