Injured AEW Wrestler Backstage At Dynamite

An injured All Elite Wrestling star was backstage at the April 30 edition of AEW Dynamite, potentially pointing at an impending return to action.

Per a report from Fightful Select, Skye Blue was backstage at Dynamite in Norfolk, Virginia, and has reportedly been backstage at multiple recent AEW TV tapings. Blue has been out of action with a broken ankle since July 2024, later undergoing surgery to fix the problem.

It is currently unknown if Blue was backstage to discuss potential return plans or was merely visiting, with Blue’s boyfriend Kyle Fletcher in action against Hangman Page on the show. AEW originally pencilled a Spring return for Skye Blue, and with Dynamite and Collision Beach Break set for Blue’s hometown of Chicago on May 14, then that would seem a perfect place for a return, should she receive medical clearance by then.

Skye Blue has been part of AEW since 2021, and has wrestled across AEW and sister promotion Ring of Honor. Blue last made an appearance at All Out’s zero hour pre-show in September 2024, receiving a beatdown from Mariah May after updating fans on her condition.
