While he has been retired since December 2025, an invisible version of John Cena made their debut for Pro-Wrestling: EVE in the UK independent wrestling promotion's Multiverse Rumble on February 6.

Cena entered the Multiverse Rumble, which features wrestlers cosplaying as pop culture and pro wrestling icons, and Invisible Big Match John quickly hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle before he proceeded to eliminate D-Generation X of Anita Vaughan and Safire Reed.

AEW's Will Ospreay, who is a producer for EVE, revealed on Pep Shop Collectibles that it was Anita Vaughan and Safire Reed's idea to have Invisible John Cena in the Multiverse Rumble.

"So I knew about the DX thing. I didn't know about the John Cena thing so that was such an amazing thing to watch… I think the last time I checked, that video got like over four million views. So, all credit to Anita (Vaughan) and Safire (Reed), who constructed this brilliant idea to have John Cena walk out because you couldn't see him, and hit his five moves of doom and eliminate DX," Ospreay said.

The Multiverse Rumble was ultimately won by Mr Bean (Alexxis Falcon), and other competitors included Bowser, Troy Bolton, Claudia Winkleman, and The Queen.

Pro-Wrestling: EVE will present Wrestle Queendom VIII from London, England's Indigo at The O2 on Sunday, March 8. The show has already sold out and it will be the biggest all-women's independent wrestling event in European history. Matches already announced for the show include Kris Statlander vs. Charlie (FKA Dakota Kai) and Willow Nightingale vs. Nina Samuels.
