A new book on the New World Order stable will shed some light on the backstage politics of WCW during the 1990s, in particular issues between Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart and Kevin Nash.

Marc Raimondi, author of Say Hello to the Bad Guys: How Professional Wrestling's New World Order Changed America, was a guest on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, where he spoke about the behind-the-scenes machinations.

"It was pretty clear to a lot of people…behind the scenes folks all said that, Bischoff was…Team Hogan, basically," he said, before adding that, "Hogan just wanted to face the guys from the 80s or the early 90s. He didn't want to face Bret Hart. He didn't want to face Kevin Nash".

With regards to how The Hulkster and Big Sexy would undercut The Hitman during creative meetings, Raimondi (citing his interview with Hart) said:

"He said he's been told numerous times since then that every booking meeting, Hogan was there, Nash was there. They would undercut him, you know, they would make sure that he was not getting anything".

Bret harbours a grudge against Hogan to this day and never misses an opportunity to bury him. Hogan, meanwhile, claims he was all for working with Hart in WCW and doesn't understand why Bret has heat with him.
