A former wrestler for All Elite Wrestling is set to participate in WWE's upcoming tryouts on Thursday, July 30 in Minnesota ahead of SummerSlam.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has reported that KJ Orso - FKA Fuego Del Sol - is planned for the WWE tryout, although it is unknown why he didn't announce the news himself like many other tryout attendees.

Orso has been a standout on the independent wrestling scene since the rebrand after Fuego Del Sol lost a Mask vs. Career Match to Atticus Cogar at Joey Janela's Spring Break 9 in 2025. Orso returned without a mask one month later and he has been a featured performer on the US indies, particularly for Game Changer Wrestling. Orso also wrestled one match for TNA at the Genesis 206 pre-show, unsuccessfully challenging Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo for the TNA International Title in a four-way that also featured BDE and Eric Young.

Orso wrestled in All Elite Wrestling as Fuego Del Sol on a full-time basis from August 2021 until July 2023. He continued to make sporadic appearances on AEW TV, though, including an August 2024 match against Roderick Strong on Rampage, and Del Sol wrestled eight matches for Ring of Honor from August 2024 until February 2025, but the 30-year-old has not performed for AEW or ROH since the KJ Orso rebrand.

Other indy wrestlers planned for the SummerSlam tryouts include Josh Bishop, Titus Alexander, J-Rod, Conan Lycan, Joe Lando, and Monica Monroe. AJ Styles selected several wrestlers for the tryouts.
