All Elite Wrestling will seemingly no longer be covered by ESPN as part of their professional wrestling coverage.
ESPN.com previously included WWE and AEW within their pro wrestling vertical. However, if users try and select AEW content on the website, they simply receive a 'Page error. Go to the homepage.' message. Past ESPN articles about AEW are still discoverable through the search function on ESPN.com, but there is no longer a dedicated page to All Elite Wrestling.
ESPN had already cut back on their coverage of AEW, with the dedicated page to AEW on ESPN.com only featuring a couple of articles. There had been very few articles about the promotion since Grand Slam Australia in February.
The removal of AEW's dedicated page from ESPN occurred just hours after it was officially announced WWE pay-per-views would begin airing on ESPN platforms in the United States from Wrestlepalooza on September 20. WWE pay-per-views were able to move to ESPN from Peacock much earlier than planned as WWE had already fulfilled their contractual obligations to the NBCUniversal-owned streaming platform, and the two sides were able to reach a deal to end the PLE deal early.
