Real1 - FKA Enzo Amore in WWE - has revealed he reached out to All Elite Wrestling, but the promotion had no interest in using him.
"AEW was something that I considered. I reached out. They had no interest. I'm at a point where, if it's f*ck me, it's f*ck you. What do I care? What are you going to do, cancel me? What do I care? I have nothing to lose, bro. I've already lost everything. I've been dragged through the mud. When you're treated like dirt, they stick like mud. You treat me a certain way, I'll treat you back. I don't have any gripe with the business because I'm in such a good place. I'm solid right now," Real1 said on No Contest Wrestling.
Real1 was previously a part of WWE from 2012 until 2018, when he was released due to allegations of sexual assault. The investigation from the Phoenix Police Department was dropped in May 2018 due to insufficient evidence.
The 38-year-old has been active on the independent wrestling scene since his WWE release. He is currently prominently featured in Westside Gunn's 4th Rope Wrestling and he is the reigning 4th Rope Flyweight Champion.
His association with 4th Rope resulted in Real1 wrestling at TNA Slammiversary earlier this year in an inter-promotional match.
